Dr. Mehmood A Khan practiced medicine in the mountainous regions of South Asia at a time when reaching a doctor often meant days of travel through unforgiving terrain. Patients would make the long journey down from remote villages seeking treatment, but with little money to their name, many couldn't afford the fare back home. Rather than turning them away, Dr. Khan opened his doors — housing them, feeding them, and caring for them until they were well enough to return. His clinic became more than a place of treatment; it was a refuge. For many of those mountain communities, he wasn't just their doctor — he was the only safety net they had.
Dr. Mehmood A Khan's lifelong dedication to sheltering the vulnerable — whether a sick patient who couldn't afford the journey home or a family with nowhere to turn — became the foundation of our own mission. His example inspired us to extend that same humanity into housing, standing by renters who fall behind, and ensuring that the most vulnerable in the market never face the streets alone. Awais Khan founded AJH Holdings & Acquisitions with a simple conviction: that property, owned and managed well, can make a real difference to people’s lives.
He brings a rare combination of legal expertise and hands-on property experience. A graduate in Law (LLB), with the Legal Practice Course (LPC) and a Master of Laws (LLM), he has worked in the legal field. That background gives him a thorough understanding of contracts, compliance, regulation and risk, and it shapes every decision the business makes.
Over more than eight years in real estate, Awais has owned, acquired and managed a growing portfolio of residential and commercial property. His experience spans strategic acquisition, HMO management, and leading the teams that renovate and transform each property. He has a sharp eye for buildings with untapped potential and a proven ability to turn them into well-run, successful assets.
That legal grounding means every acquisition is approached with care and diligence. Every tenancy is handled fairly and compliantly, and every property is managed to the standard residents deserve. The result is a portfolio built on solid foundations, one that performs well over the long term because it is looked after properly.
